1. Agreement
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and InstaFile ("we," "us"). By using our website and tools (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. The Service
InstaFile provides online tools to compress, convert, edit, upscale, capture, and vectorize images, GIFs, videos, webpages, and PDFs. Many tools can be used without an account, including the published single-image clean raster vector preview. A one-time SVG purchase can be completed as a guest without an InstaFile account. Using Pro vectorization or larger vector batches and starting a subscription require an account. Features, limits, supported formats, and availability may change, and a tool may fail or produce a result different from what you expect.
3. Eligibility and accounts
- You must be at least 13 years old and legally able to agree to these Terms. If you are not the age of majority where you live, use the Service only with permission from a parent or legal guardian.
- An account is optional for eligible free tools and for a one-time purchase of the displayed SVG result. It is required to use Pro vectorization or larger vector batches and to start a subscription. Email-code sign-in is available, and Google sign-in may be available when configured.
- You are responsible for the email or Google account you use to sign in, for activity under your InstaFile account, and for keeping access to your account secure.
- Tell us promptly if you believe your account or a temporary processed-file link has been accessed without permission.
4. Your content and the permission to process it
You keep ownership of files and other content you submit. You give InstaFile and the service providers needed for your selected feature a limited, non-exclusive permission to receive, host, copy, transmit, process, and transform that content solely to operate, secure, and support the Service and return the requested result. This permission ends when the applicable copies are deleted, except where retention is legally required.
Supported basic JPG and PNG operations may run in your browser without an upload. For server operations, synchronous request uploads and working files are removed after processing. Durable queued inputs may remain for up to two hours while queued or retrying and are removed after success, cancellation, or final failure. Most processed results are temporarily stored for up to 30 minutes by default. Vector previews and their private clean SVGs are temporarily stored for up to 24 hours by default. Many processed-result URLs and anonymous job tokens are bearer links: anyone who has one may be able to access that result before it expires. Clean vector results instead require active Pro access, an account-linked purchase, or the guest Stripe Checkout Session recorded for that exact result. A guest Checkout Session identifier acts as a temporary bearer credential for the purchased file, so do not share its return or download URL. Results may be deleted earlier because of storage limits, cancellation, or errors.
You are responsible for submitted content. You represent that you have all rights and permissions needed to use it and that our processing of it as described in these Terms does not violate copyright, trademark, privacy, confidentiality, contract, or other rights.
5. Remote imports and webpage capture
When you submit a URL, you direct InstaFile to retrieve that resource or render that public webpage. You must be authorized to access and process it and must comply with the destination site's terms and applicable law. Do not submit URLs containing credentials, private tokens, or private network locations. We may block destinations, redirects, ports, or content types for safety.
Webpage capture uses Cloudflare Browser Run to load the public URL and return a screenshot. InstaFile sends the URL and capture settings, but does not send your InstaFile session cookie or credentials for the destination site. The feature may be delayed or unavailable when provider safety, rate, or daily usage limits are reached, and some sites may block or return different content to automated browsers.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- upload or create unlawful, infringing, or harmful content, or content you have no right to use;
- process malware, or attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the Service;
- probe or bypass security, rate limits, usage limits, access controls, or blocked network destinations;
- use automated access in a way that unreasonably burdens the Service or ignores published instructions;
- misrepresent that an output is authentic, unaltered, or endorsed by another person;
- resell the Service or provide access to it as your own service without our written permission.
We may enforce per-address request limits, route-specific resource quotas, weighted queue-cost limits, owner and lane concurrency limits, file-size limits, and daily usage ceilings. We may reject, delay, or suspend requests that exceed those controls. Paid work may receive higher priority or reserved worker capacity, while older queued work may gain priority over time. Reusing a request's idempotency key returns the original job instead of creating a duplicate charge or processing attempt.
7. Paid features
InstaFile offers a Free plan, one-time purchases for individual clean vector downloads, and a recurring Pro subscription through Stripe-hosted checkout. The exact price, billing interval, currency, taxes, plan benefits, and any purchase-specific terms are displayed before you confirm a purchase. We do not receive your full payment-card details.
A Pro subscription renews automatically for the billing interval shown at checkout until canceled. You may manage or cancel it through the Stripe customer portal linked from the Plans page. Cancellation timing and any remaining access are shown in the portal. Failed or overdue payments remove Pro access unless the Plans page shows a specifically configured grace deadline. Deleting your InstaFile account first attempts to cancel an active subscription.
Pro includes unlimited manual vectorization and the batch, priority, and higher-limit benefits shown on the Plans page. “Unlimited” does not permit automated, shared, or abusive access and remains subject to the published limit of 12 images per vector job and 200 submitted vector jobs per UTC day, plus concurrency, anti-automation, file-size, queue, security, and safety limits. Daily allowances count submitted server request attempts and may include requests that later fail. Pro does not promise unlimited video processing. A Free visitor may generate the published number of single-image vector previews per day. Those previews are clean raster renderings that let users judge trace quality; the SVG is not delivered until the user purchases that exact result or has active Pro access. A one-time vector purchase unlocks only the result identified at checkout, does not require an account, and does not start a subscription. Vector outputs normally remain available for 24 hours after processing, so customers should download and retain purchased files promptly. Except where required by law or expressly stated at checkout, purchases are non-refundable. Full refunds revoke any remaining server-side access to the associated one-time download. Partial refunds, subscription refunds, and payment disputes may suspend paid access and require manual review. A dispute marked won is not automatically treated as final entitlement approval; support may review it before access changes.
8. InstaFile intellectual property
The Service, including our software, design, brand, and our proprietary vectorization technology, belongs to us and is protected by law. These Terms do not give you any rights to our intellectual property beyond using the Service as intended.
9. Third-party services
The Service uses third parties for hosting and network infrastructure, private storage, aggregate analytics, font delivery, optional Google sign-in, email delivery, Stripe billing, and optional AI processing. Remote import and webpage capture also contact the sites you specify. Third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy practices, and we are not responsible for third-party sites or content. Our Privacy Policy identifies the current providers and when they receive data.
10. Keep your originals — service provided "as is"
Always keep your own copy of any file you process. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that results will be perfect, that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that files will always be processed successfully or remain downloadable for the full temporary retention period.
Outputs may lose quality, metadata, animation, transparency, color information, subtitles, or other characteristics depending on the selected operation and format. Review every result before relying on it.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost data, lost files, or lost profits. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the prior three months or 50 US dollars. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations, so some of this section may not apply to you.
12. Suspension, account deletion, and termination
We may suspend or terminate access that violates these Terms or that we reasonably believe harms the Service or others. You may stop using the Service at any time. While signed in, you can use the Delete account control in the site header's account menu to cancel an active subscription and delete your InstaFile account, purchase-access records, and login sessions, or contact us to request deletion. Stripe and we may retain billing information when required by law or reasonably needed for security, fraud prevention, or dispute resolution.
13. Changes to the Service or these Terms
We may change, suspend, or discontinue features and may update these Terms. If a change to the Terms is material, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Changes apply prospectively when posted unless the notice says otherwise. If you do not agree, stop using the Service.
14. Applicable law
Applicable law governs these Terms and any dispute. Nothing in these Terms waives consumer rights or remedies that cannot legally be waived. We will identify a specific governing jurisdiction and dispute forum here before enabling paid checkout for the public.
